FarmVille: Take a trip to Winter Wonderland today for 55 Farm Cash

We've been speculating for the past few weeks as to when exactly Winter Wonderland would launch in FarmVille, but the wait is finally over. Early access passes have started rolling out to users, allowing you to purchase your way into Winter Wonderland early for the price of 55 Farm Cash. With today also happening to be Cyber Monday, that means you'll be able to purchase those 55 Farm Cash for 40% off, but only if you act before the end of the day!

You'll see your train ticket invite via a pop up, and with a single click can access this fourth farm, complete with a set of new goals and exclusive prizes, only available to those users that pay to get in early. Free trips will be made available soon (likely next week), but if you don't want to wait that long, you can now get a head-start on building your Winter Wonderland train station, growing new crops, and raising new animals before anyone else.

If you decide to pay for a ticket, you'll be greeted by a Snowman Conductor, who introduces you to Winter Wonderland and the North Pole. First things first, this farm is incredibly similar to Lighthouse Cove, in that you'll have a Polar Train Station to upgrade (just as you had to repair the Lighthouse Cove itself), and you'll also be limited to how many crops you can grow at a time. A starting Winter Wonderland farm can hold 100 plots, and you'll then be able to increase that number by purchasing land expansions for your farm. As of this writing, there are 10 expansions available to purchase, but all of them cost increasing amounts of Farm Cash.

Your Winter Wonderland farm will also start with a few animals and other goodies. You'll receive a Winter Fox, Polar Hare and Reindeer, along with a partially completed Orchard, and partially completed Winter Animal Pen. You'll also receive a few Snow Treasures - presents that are trapped in snow - and we'll bring you a complete guide on how to receive those presents just as soon as we can here's a guide to learn how to get inside those presents! In the meantime, if you're willing to pay some Farm Cash for a fourth farm, make sure to login to your farm today and take a trip to Winter Wonderland!

FarmVille Winter Wonderland Snow Treasures: Everything you need to know

Now that Winter Wonderland is now available for paying players in FarmVille, we can finally dig into an exciting new feature called "Snow Treasures." Upon arriving in Winter Wonderland, you'll see that your farm currently contains five treasures: two Small Snow Treasures, two Medium Snow Treasures and one Large Snow Treasure.

These Snow Treasures contained themed items, with the smaller Treasures traditional being items that would be less desirable, while larger Treasures would contain more valuable or at least rare items. You'll need to ask your friends for help in retrieving the prizes from these ice blocks, by either gathering Hair Dryers for the Small and Medium Snow Treasures, or Pickaxes for the Large and Extra Large Snow Treasures (you can see one such Extra Large Snow Treasure outside your farm's starter boundaries).

Earning these items is fairly simple, in that you'll just need to send out requests to your friends for them to send some your way. The larger the Snow Treasure, the more of each item you'll need to gather. Here's the rundown:

Small Snow Treasures: 15 Hair Dryers
Medium Snow Treasures: 25 Hair Dryers
Large Snow Treasures: 45 Pickaxes

As of this writing, it doesn't look like these items can be gathered from Special Delivery Boxes, but we'll make sure to let you know if these items start showing up within them later. Either way, what can you find inside these Snow Treasures? Prizes like Holiday Trees, Wooley Mammoths or other animals are up for grabs so far, and it does look like these prizes will be random for different farmers, from a basic selection of possibilities. Hopefully, we'll receive more and more Snow Treasures as time goes on, but if not, just try your best to open this first assortment of Snow Treasures and then let us know which items you've received!

Well, have you started opening your Snow Treasures? If you've managed to receive a present, which item did you find inside

FarmVille: Go on a shopping spree in the new Winter Wonderland market

With the launch of Winter Wonderland in FarmVille, we see Zynga offering players plenty of new goodies to purchase in the store, ranging from trees and animals to buildings or even farm vehicles. Frozen Spruce - 5,000 coins
Winter Spruce - 15 Farm Cash

You'll receive one of each of the Spruce trees for free when first arriving in Winter Wonderland, so don't worry about needing to purchase anymore. If you'd like to quickly master the Winter Spruce, however, remember that you can receive those for free from Mystery Seedlings in your new Winter Wonderland Orchard (which you'll also be given for free, and will simply need to add building materials to).

A few notes here: you'll receive a Polar Hare for free when arriving in Winter Wonderland, and if you choose to purchase a ticket into Winter Wonderland (rather than waiting for a free way in), you'll receive a free Holiday Mammoth as a prize. This is a different animal than the Woolly Mammoth, so you'll need to purchase both if you are a mastery sign collector.

Sweet Shoppe - 100,000 coins
Holiday Log Cabin - 300,000 coins

Frozen Pond - 300,000 coins
Sleigh - 20 Farm Cash

While many of these items might look rather boring, just keep in mind that by completing the Winter Wonderland goals that will be regular staples of the game for quite some time into the future, you'll receive plenty of "better," or at least more exciting prizes for your new farm.

Farm Aides

Broken Combine - 500,000 coins
Icy Combine - 110 Farm Cash
Icy Harvester - 40,000 coins
Icy Seeder - 40,000 coins
Icy Tractor - 10,000 coins

Not to be confused with other farm vehicles, all of these are themed with snow accents, including the Broken Combine. You'll just need to collect Vehicle Parts to upgrade how many plots each can tend in a single click, as normal.

With all of these items, we've yet to talk about the many new crops you can grow on your equally new Winter Wonderland farm. We'll make sure to bring you a complete look at the new crops you can grow and master just as soon as we can.

What do you think of the many items available in the Winter Wonderland store? Which ones will you purchase for your farm?

FarmVille Winter Wonderland Sweet Shoppe: Everything you need to know

As with any farm in FarmVille, Winter Wonderland comes complete with a new crafting building, allowing you to use crop bushels to craft all sorts of delicious goodies. As we've told you in our previous of Winter Wonderland, this new crafting building is called the Sweet Shoppe, and it allows you to craft sweet treats like Candied Apples and Ginger S'mores, just to name two.

Identical to the setup of other crafting buildings, this Sweet Shoppe starts at Level 1, with just two counters available for your creations. You'll need to level up your recipes (by repeatedly crafting them) to upgrade your Sweet Shoppe to higher levels, until you reach the max of Level 5, with each new level unlocking new recipes for you to craft. To start, you'll only be able to craft three recipes, and will then see the three recipes available for Level 2. Here's a look at these six new recipes (we'll update this space with other levels' recipes as we learn more)

Level 1

Candied Yam Pie: 3 Candied Yam Bushels, 1 Glacial Rose Bushel and 2 Cranberry Bushels
Candied Apples: 2 Gummi Bear Bushels, 3 Candied Yam Bushels and 3 Wheat Bushels
Ginger S'mores: 3 Gingerbread Bushels, 3 Iced Rose Bushels and 2 Sunflower Bushels

Level 2

Peanut Brittle: 3 Iced Rice Bushels, 2 Gingerbread Bushels and 2 Peanut Bushels
Holly Wreath: 2 Holly Bushels, 3 Red Iceberry Bushels and 2 Chickpea Bushels
Peppermint Fudge: 2 Mint Candy Bushels, 3 Candied Yam Bushels and 2 Coffee Bushels

If we can use the Chapter 1 goals for Winter Wonderland as any indication of things to come, you'll need to stay on top of your crafting in this new farm, in order to upgrade your Sweet Shoppe as quickly as possible. You won't want to find yourself in the middle of a goal series, only to realize you can't complete it without Farm Cash because you can't craft the recipe required to finish it. Just remember to claim your free bushels from friends, and to always have something growing in your own Winter Wonderland, and you'll do just fine.

What do you think of these first few recipes available to craft in the Sweet Shoppe in Winter Wonderland? What other sorts of recipes do you hope we'll find as we upgrade our buildings?

FarmVille Winter Wonderland Crops: Everything you need to know

As you can see, a few of these crops (the Glacial Rose and Mint Candy, as examples) are pretty beefy crops, offering you plenty of experience points for each plot planted and harvested. It's likely that we'll need to grow each of these individual crops at some point during the Winter Wonderland goals that will continue to roll out in the future, but we'll make sure to give you plenty of warning for when to plant these crops to stay on top of things. For now, plant some Gingerbread for the very first goal in the game and work on upgrading your Polar Train Station while you wait!
