Cafe World Spice Rack: Now requires less parts to complete

Cafe World Spice Rack now only requires 4 of each item
Just last week, Zynga released an update to Cafe World that allowed anyone who hasn't yet completed their Spice Rack to buy the entire thing at a 40% discount. Tonight, the Spice Rack has been made even easier to obtain for those who don't want to spend money to finish it. Instead of requiring 5 of each part (Shelves, Small/Medium/Large Jars, and Lids), players now only need 4 of each piece. This brings the total amount of required Spice Rack parts to 20, which is down from 25 previously.

With the major push to finish the Super Stove, perhaps Zynga are planning on removing the Spice Rack mechanic at some point? Perhaps they are wanting to move it to the next level and have players buy spices for their rack? Or maybe they're noticing that new players can be awfully overwhelmed by the amount of work they have ahead of them to finish all the game's buildables.

If you got a slow start on your Spice Rack, now is the time to complete it. Log in to Cafe World and request some Spice Rack parts from your friends.

RewardVille (still) slowly rolling out - look out for news posts to receive it!

We've seen some huge news this morning - there is now a way to force RewardVille to load onto your Facebook account without waiting for Zynga to slowly (very slowly) roll it out across all of their game players. FVNation has come across posts such as the one above, showing users who are redeeming their ZPoints for a new item - the Porch Home in FarmVille.

If you see any post like this, make sure to click on the "Get Reward" link. If you're fast enough, and maybe just a bit lucky, you will be taken to a page telling you that your reward is waiting. Through this, you'll be able to use Facebook Connect to connect your Facebook account with your new RewardVille account, where you can claim the prize above, and start using the feature to its fullest across Zynga's network of games.

You'll be able to earn a maximum of 80 points per day per game, with a maximum of 300 points per day for the entire Zynga catalog. Of course, you'll need to be lucky enough to have a friend that has received RewardVille either through this method, or through actually being given it by Zynga, which is probably the hardest part of all. Still, the possibilities for receiving RewardVille have just increased, so for now we can't really argue with that.

Zynga's RewardVille Now Available: Everything you need to know

Yesterday, we told you there was a way to force RewardVille to spawn on your Facebook account, but what if you didn't have any friends that had posted a link to their prizes that would allow you to join Zynga's rewards program? FarmVillePro has discovered that there is a single, universal, link that you can click on the activate the program on your account, and we can confirm that it does indeed work.

Note: As of this writing, this link does work to activate RewardVille on your account, but as it appears to be universal, there is a chance that Zynga may shut it off if too many people use it. We apologize if that happens to be the case when you try it, but as you can see from my screenshots - it is legit.

You'll have to connect your Facebook account to RewardVille, and then "install" RewardVille (the toolbar portion you'll see above all Zynga games from here on in) on your account by accepting its terms, just as you would install any other Facebook app. That out of the way, you'll now have access to the entire program, including the ability to earn zCoins, redeem them for prizes across all of Zynga's major games (FarmVille, CityVille, Zynga Poker, FrontierVille, Mafia Wars, Cafe World, Treasure Isle, YoVille, PetVille and Vampire Wars), and send your friends free RewardVille gifts every day, among other features.

Meet us behind the break for a look on what to expect after you join. If you play FarmVille, the first thing you should do after activating RewardVille would be to claim your free Porch Home item. Simply click on the "Get It" button underneath any prize that you like, and if you have the zCoins necessary, they will be traded in for that item. In the case of the Porch Home, however, this is a free prize, so you really have no reason not to claim it. In fact, there is a free item for each and every one of the games in the rewards program, so make sure to claim the free items in all of the games you play.

How do you earn more zCoins? It's simple really - you can earn a maximum of 80 zPoints per game per day, up to your first 300 zPoints earned across all Zynga games each day. You'll earn zPoints simply by playing Zynga games as you would normally. As an example, as you play games like FarmVille, as you harvest, plow and plant new crops, you'll see the XP meter (representing your RewardVille level) increasing automatically. Once you level up your overall RewardVille level, you'll earn zCoins. Right now, it appears that only activities in games that earn you XP count towards earning zPoints, but we'll make sure to let you know if that changes. Either way, you'll know you've earned zPoints and zCoins when you see notices like these, that appear automatically at the top of your gameplay area.


As you browse through RewardVille's website, you'll notice that some items in games are locked to you currently. Just like purchasing items in many in-game stores, some items in RewardVille are locked to you until you have earned a certain level. If there has ever been incentive to play Zynga games more often, the promise of free exclusive, even limited edition prizes, will probably be it. In the case of FarmVille, as one example, you'll even notice items like the Giant Snowflake or Mandarin Tree that were available in the game in the past, but are no longer - if you missed out on these limited edition items the first time, you now have a chance to earn them again for free. We can't complain about that.

One final thing to note is the ability to send your friends free, exclusive RewardVille mystery gifts from the RewardVille website. These mystery boxes can contain up to 100 zCoins each, or "other bonuses" that will help them earn free items in the program.

And there you have it - a fairly simple setup, once you browse around for a bit and become used to the new terminology, and how the bar looks above your gameplay area. Be sure to play Zynga games often to earn the most zCoins, and then remember to turn them in for prizes that may only be available for a limited time. The bragging rights will almost certainly be worth it.

Cafe World Cook for the Crafts Show Catering Order: Everything you need to know

A new catering order has launched in Cafe World this afternoon, asking you to create some "artistic" dishes to feed the folks at the local Crafts Show. To be specific, this catering order is called "Cook for the Crafts Show," and you'll have three days to finish these five tasks in order to earn the three star rating (and a new recipe).

For the cooking tasks, you'll need to serve Fish N Chips (a two-hour dish) 200 times, Pita and Dolmas (a four-hour dish) 60 times, and Pumpkin Pie (a 12-hour dish) 60 times. Ok, so maybe those dishes aren't incredibly artistic, but I guess we can't expect much. With the longest cooking time dish being just 12 hours, this one doesn't look to be too terribly difficult, especially if you have some neighbors that can help you cook these short-timed dishes frequently throughout the day. Speaking of which, you'll have the chance to add up to 13 of your friends to this order to help you, so keep that in mind.

In addition to these cooking tasks, you'll need to collect five Yarn and five Painting Easels by asking your friends to send you these items. If you can finish all of these tasks within the first three days, you'll receive the three-star rating, 15 Catering Points, 7,500 Cafe Points, 200,000 coins and the Crafty 3-Bean Salad recipe.

While you may not receive the recipe for the two or one-star ratings, here are the details for those.

Two-Star Rating (finish within two to five days)

    10 Catering Points
    5,000 Cafe Points
    125,000 coins


One Star Rating (finish after the first five days)

    5 Catering Points
    3,000 Catering Points
    75,000 coins


As usual, you can start this order at any point in the future, so don't feel rushed to start it right away. Still, if you have a lot of friends that are hardcore players, you might want to try to finish this one sooner, rather than later, so you can "guarantee" that you'll receive their help.

Cafe World Pee Wee Chefs Goals: Everything you need to know

Here's a new Cafe World storyline for you: Your cafe has sponsored a Little League team, and it's now your responsibility to feed all of your little players before (and apparently after) the big game. This is, of course, done through a new goal series, an eight-part goal series, to be exact, called the Pee Wee Chefs.

Unfortunately, this is another one of those goal sets that will require you to cook dishes that may be different from those listed in our guide, and there's no way for us to personally guarantee which dish each chef will end up having to cook (sorry). The Cafe World team has stated before that when it comes to goals like these, the overall cooking time for each player will be the same, but you may have to cook varying cooking-time dishes to get there in the end. Either way, here's a complete rundown of the sorts of dishes you can expect to cook.

The Pee Wee Chefs 1

    * Serve 10 Buttermilk Pancakes
    * Serve 10 Belgian Waffles
    * Ask for 5 Baseballs


Right off the bat (no pun intended), we're given the basic Cafe World goal requirements of cooking dishes and asking your friends to send you items. You'll receive a free Team Photo wall decoration for completing this first goal.

The Pee Wee Chefs 2

    * Serve Pizza Margherita 30 Times
    * Serve Pepperoni Pizza 20 Times
    * Ask for 10 Catcher's Masks


For completing this goal, you'll receive the first of three new recipes for this goal series: the Banana Split.

The Pee Wee Chefs 3

    * Serve Deep Fried Ice Cream 5 Times
    * Serve 45 Caramel Apples
    * Ask for 8 Aluminum Bats


Remember, as you're tasked with cooking all of these dishes (regardless of the appliance you're forced to use), make sure you check your Gift Box for any left-over servings that could speed up your progress considerably, or to use any spices that you might have lying around to really give things a boost.

The Pee Wee Chefs 4

    * Serve 40 Cocktail Weenies
    * Serve 30 In Flight Meals
    * Ask for 12 Baseballs


For this task, we're not sure if the Baseballs will be cumulative (that is, making you only ask for seven more, since you already gathered five at the beginning of this series), or if you'll have to start from scratch. Keep that second possibility in mind either way.

The Pee Wee Chefs 5

    * Serve 40 Fruit and Jelly Molds
    * Serve 30 Kabayaki
    * Ask for 6 Catcher's Masks


While these past two goals may not have been very creative (alright, the entire goal series is fairly lacking in that area), you will earn another new recipe for making it to this point: Blue Cotton Candy.

The Pee Wee Chefs 6

    * Serve 20 Chickens and Forty Cloves
    * Serve 30 Belgian Waffles
    * Ask for 5 Aluminum Bats


The Pee Wee Chefs 7

    * Serve Pulled Pork 4 Times
    * Serve Tangy BBQ Chicken 8 Times
    * Ask for 12 Logo Hats


As usual, just keep asking your friends for these Logo Hats (and the Aluminum Bats above), and you'll eventually slog your way through these goals to the end.

The Pee Wee Chefs 8

    * Serve 8 Meat Craver's Pizzas
    * Serve 40 Funnel Cakes
    * Ask for 12 Team Jerseys


Your reward for completing this entire goal series is a final new recipe: The Giant Chili Dog.

As of this writing, there doesn't seem to be a time limit for completing these goals, so feel free to finish whatever you're working on, and then move onto these when you have the time.

Cafe World Holly Hostess Stand: Everything you need to know

Earlier tonight, we brought you a complete rundown of the many (many) goals in the Cafe World Engagement Party goal series, which sees Joe and Lisa celebrating their new engagement with friends. Of course, any party with this many guests needs someone to organize the arrivals, which is where Holly Hostess comes into the game. Holly heard about the engagement party we'd be throwing for the couple in our cafes, and has dropped by to help out. Of course, you can't expect this to be a simple affair, as you'll need to first build Holly's Hostess Station so she has a place to stand and work.

This is done by collecting a series of building materials or tools that Holly needs to work. You'll need five Highlighters, six Podium Lamps, seven Toothpicks and seven Table Charts. The Highlighters and Toothpicks are earned through general news feed posts, while the Podium Lamps and Table Charts are earned through individual gift requests sent to your friends.

Once you're done building the Hostess Station for Holly, you'll receive a 20% bonus on all Cafe Points earned in your cafe through cooking and serving dishes. However, this bonus isn't permanent, as it will only last for a single week. After that point, you'll need to use Energy Drinks to "recharge her" as she's become tired. These Energy Drinks can be purchased for Cafe Cash, as you might expect. Should you wish not to recharge her (which is your choice), you can either store the Hostess Stand in case the development team decides to create another use for her, or just use her as a decoration in your cafe.
